Dangerously Cool Trends
Cruising around Nieman Marcus’ site, I found that they have links called “Passport to Summer.” They list some wicked locations that I wish I was going to myself. Anyway, today I’m going to do Passport to Monte Carlo. Check out my favorite picks:

This
Marc Bouwer Beaded Silk Dress is absolutely gorgeous. This color will go great on most skin tones and flatter your arms and shoulders.
you can never go wrong with a
black and white dress. I love this one by Bianca Nero because it’s great for showing off your legs, but also the puffiness at the bottom helps hide those problem areas.

This gorgeous
Kay Unger Satin Red Dress flatters any shape or size. I love the drapery of the fabric, and the color (they refer to it as lipstick/deep pink) is absolutely gorgeous.

Lastly I LOVE the color of this
David Meister Satin Dress. I can’t even express how gorgeous it is! It should look great, especially if you have been working on your summer tan.
It’s that time again. You found your bikini and you’re hitting up the gym. Now you need that one accessory to pull it all together. Fun and colorful flip flops are a great way to show off your love of summer.
They’re great with a pair of casual jeans, crisp tailored shorts, or a light and flirty sun dress like this one from Neiman’s, Here are my top 5 summer Flip flops (I chose flip flops because sandals is such a huge category! lol). And a bonus! They are all under $30 so you won’t break the bank on these must haves!
1. These adorable shell sandals from
Urban Outfitters are only $28!
2. Brightly colored t-strap sandal from
Newport News. They are on sale for only $20 too :]
When you think of our classiest style icons, they all have one accessory in common. No, not cigarettes. Sunglasses! Jackie Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn…You open up the dashboard compartment in my car and about 5 pairs come falling out. A stylish way to deter the onset of wrinkles? If you ask me no woman should be without a pair. Jeweled, Metallic, Aviator… with bright sunny days in full swing, find a pair that works for you.
I made another look on shopstyle.com, let me know what you think!
This trend is definately a throwback to preppy couture. I’m not saying you need to wear a three-piece suit with a monacle, but there are ways to incorporate nice tailored pieces into your everyday look.
Tailored being the key word here: It needs to fit your body like it was made for you specifically.
This Rebecca Taylor Dress from shopbop.com is a great example. The stiching at the skit accentuates a smaller waist (even if you don’t have one). I also love the way it IS a dress, but it looks like two separate pieces.

I have always loved the look of a blazer on men and women. This velvet blazer from Alice and Olivia is absolutely gorgeous. I love the tailoring of it, and you can wear it with a pair of skinny jeans and heels, or flats…over a dress…etc. I know it is getter hotter, so it might be harder to pull off. But it could make a great nightime look or for a meeting in an air-conditioned office lol.
Ths Chulo Pony vest…is absolutely adorable. You can wear it to the office or even be daring and wear it for a night out.

Then we have a BCBG little coverlet. I think that you can dress this up and down and make it as conservative or sexy as you want.

Last but not least we can’t forget about shoes! I would most likely go for the more demure Michael Kors, but if you are feeling ultra fierce and uber trendy, go for the Lineas.
